While the nightlife in San Jose del Cabo centers around the restaurants and large hotels, Cabo San Lucas is the party capital of Los Cabos, where you'll find a wide variety of nightclubs as well as casual and fine dining options, and not a few celebrity sightings.
Known as the Sport Fishing capital of the world, Cabo is home to many big game fish, particularly marlin. The marina at Cabo San Lucas hosts sailfish, swordfish, marlin and dorado fishing tournaments yearly.
During the winter In Los Cabos you can admire one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena to occur on Mexico's coasts: the courtship process of the gray whale. It is estimated that 20,000 of these whales migrate to the Mexican coast each year. You can also spy blue, humpback and sperm whales. |

Apple Vacations Online Quotes & Availability Pleasant Holidays Online Quotes & Availability Los Cabos Guide The Baja Blog - A blog about life in Baja, with useful information about La Paz and Los Cabos, and great pictures “Hardworking Crew” Redrum SportfishingJust got back from a charter service w/ Carlos and company on the 54ft Utopia. Our first day we caught dolphin and tuna, over 10 total, couple of marlin sitings, second day early morning, we stopped off for rooster fishing, caught 5 or six and off to trolling the pacific where we caught over 6 dolphin and a sailfish over 110 pounds.
Carlos and crew were very hardworking and made my fishing trip a memorable one. The deckhand's name I can't remember for the life of me, stood and watched the baits the whole day in the piping hot sun; one of the keys to marlin fishing is to watch the baits so you don't miss the fish. The only small complaint was a marine biologist to come on board the first day, whom I didn't know, when I paid top dollar for the charter, but it ended up no problem and he didn't come.
The third day they set up a morning trip on a panga to catch rooster fish. Ryan was very helpful in setting this up and a responsive to get this scheduled on short notice.
I have fished two prior times in cabo and this was definitely a memorable experience, why? Because I got a mount and on my way to the grand slam with already a striped and sailfish, next will be a grander.
I see some complaints about the waters being rough. Easy solution rent a bigger boat you can relax in the cabin while waiting for the fish to bite. You want the luxuries, you got to pay, &, Ryan gave me a great deal for 2 days of fishing on the Eutopia. My point is you can't complain about seas being rough, that is part of fishing on occassion. When I go back to Cabo, I will definitely use Red Drum again and definitely charter the Eutopia. |
