“Best Chicken in Manzanillo”
Monkey's Restaurant
This place is located in front of the Comercial Mexicana on the main Blvd. It has the best fried chicken ever. Forget KFC, Church's, Popeyes, this one is better!! Cannot wait to go back to eat there again. All the locals I talked to highly recommend this place. Clean, low priced, and great menu.
“Two Volcanos in the state of Colima”
Nevado de Colima Volcan de Fuego
The snow capped volcano is dormant. It is pretty, but not worth the 2 hour trip from Manzanillo.
There are two volcanos near Manzanillo. One is the Volcan de Fuego. It is the active volcano. The other Volcan/volcano is snow capped, and inactive. We took a side trip to see the volcanos and were disappointed. During the morning, it was overcast, and we couldn't see the volcanos. After lunch in Comala, it had cleared up good enough to see one volcano in between the buildings of downtown. I understand that you can't get any closer than 11 kilometers from the active volcano, because it was steaming.
